When I touch the door handles, it goes off. I think I need to hit the panic button but the remotes are broken. It's not a factory alarm, it's something called a Omron I think.

How the heck do I disable this thing, will taking of a fuse work? Or do I need to find a dealer to do it?

Sensitivity sensor set too sensitive

As a temporary fix you should locate the brain for the unit. The brain will look like a hand sized square black box. coming off of this brain you will see sets of wires coming out of it. If you unplug all of these wires that will stop the alarm from going off. Then you should try to locate where the unit was put in and have them fix you shock sensor and/or proximity sensor.

I would unhook the alarm siren or horn first. Then find out why it is going off. There may be shock sensor set too sensitive.

If at all possible, find a wiring diagram of the system and start unhooking wires until you find out which one is giving you trouble then find what sensor is either set wrong, or defective.

good luck.

something is triggering it. they usually go off when an interior light goes on, or if shock sensor trips it. press button to stop it and put key in ignition. then put on the valet switch. usually under the dash. driver side. if that does not do it. you can use scissors and cut a wire to the alarm sound speaker. that will kill the noise. easy to fix when you get the problem solved. at least the neighbors wont hear it anymore.
