First of all, yes, E flat tuning is just taking the standard tuning (what you got) and tuning each string down a half step. Secondly, i don't know of any sites that you could tune your guitar to, but if you want to serioulsy start playing guitar, i would suggest investing in a good tuner, they're normally 20-30 dollars.

Try learning a little about music first

It's usually a good idea, even if most of the current pap producing so-called music, couldn't tune a guitar to save their lives.

EADGBE is generally known as "classical tuning" and is the tuning the serious players use. Some of the lightweights tune their guitar to strange configurations, but what you really need to do, I think, is to tune the whole thing down a semitone.

As far as listening to a note goes, find a music shop and buy a tuning fork. There are wheb sites out there but it will all depend on the quality of your sound card and your speakers.

Eb is the same note as D#, Ab is the same note as G#, Db is the same note as C#, Gb is the same note as F#, Bb is the same note as A#. The notes between natural notes can be thought of as either sharps (half step up in pitch) or flats (half step down in pitch) - which they are called is normally a function of the key signature. If you know keyboards at all, the white keys are called naturals - the blacks are called accidentals, which are the sharps/flats. As the first answerer noted, the tuning you have in your Q header is a half step down from standard tuning. It is not bad to use for acoustic 12 strings to reduce the tension a bit and make it easier to play chords (and if you capo the first fret you're back to standard tuning) - a whole step down D - G - C - F - A - D is also useful for the same thing, especially if the guitar's action is a little high (capo second fret for standard tuning).

Hi.

Eb means E flat. b represents a 'flat' note and # represents a 'sharp' note.

Flat and Sharp notes are the same as each other but on the other side. Only use one of them when writing them down though.

For example:- D# is Eb and F# is Gb

NOTE: Not all notes have a flat.

Order of notes: C, C#, D, D#, E, F, F#, G, G#, A, A#, B *bakc to C*

Those twelve notes are an octave when played on one string in the correct order. All of these notes are next to each other.

Example: E string. Fret 1 = F/Fret 2 = F#/Fret 3 = G

You also might want to get used to refering to the strings like this:

E (Low E) It is low because it describes the pitch of the string
A
D
G
B
e (High E and low caps) High because it describes the pitch of the string

About tuning to E flat. This requires you to tune your guitar down (lower in pitch). When in Eb your guitar will be tuned to the following.

Eb To hear an Eb note, play fret 6 on string A
Ab
Db
Gb
Bb
eb

Eb (E flat) is a tuning regularly used for various styles of metal. It is used because it gives lower pitch (quite essential to metal) and it enables you to play faster because the strings slacken (become loose).

You NEED TO buy a chromatic guitar tuner too. My Korg CA-10 was the first tuner I got 5 years ago and it still works (only on 2nd lot of batteries).

Are you playing from a power/guitar pro tab?

You can edit the tuning of the guitars by double clicking on the guitar (make sure you do this to the bass to)

Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. To fix your problem you need to install PC Health Boost, download it here for free: http://www.healthboostpc.com

It's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate; it's also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than normal. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.
