Real friends are one of life's treasures...never let them go if you can avoid it, no matter what the distance between you is. Phones are an easy way to keep in contact, and email is wonderful. To leave friends behind when you move on is a dangerous game to play, for you will be left on stage to end the show....alone! Goldwing

I have some friends from when I was a kid. We all studied
ballet together. Then I have friends from school and college,
we were roommates. I also have some friends from my working days even before I was married 33 years ago.
We still keep in touch with each other and try to see each other as often as we can.

Yes, a couple from school (three have passed away), some from the Navy (just found one a couple of weeks ago who I haven't talked to since 1986). I had a band in Antarctica in 1972-73,and managed to locate all of them with the help of our winter over group. However within 2 years of finding the 3, 2 passed away; my drummer and lead guitarist.

Just 1 from school that I've known forever. I think being a loner is all that I know how to be. I was raised with 3 brothers, no sisters so I was alone a lot and continued from there. Which hurts because I love people.

I still live in the area where I grew up, and so do a lot of old HS friends. I choose not to keep in contact with them anymore. They haven't seemed to grow up. I do have one good friend from the neighborhood who moved away a while back and we still keep in touch.

My best friend of about 50 years lives in Tennessee. We do keep in touch. My good friend here in WA was my friend from 35 years ago in CA. I recently reconnected with a friend from my dating years a few months ago and we had a few good laughs over the things we did then. I still keep in touch with friends from work.
