In the STAT menu, select "Edit" and enter your data in a list (say List 1, to be specific). then go back to STAT and choose "Calc". Select "1-variable statistics" (it's abbreviated).

On the next screen, you will see "1-Var Stats". Type 2nd and L1 (L1 is the "2nd function on the "1" key"), then enter. You will then see a screen giving you the information.

Note: the standard deviation you want is probably Sx, not sigma_x. (Sx is computed by dividing by n-1, whereas sigma_x is computed by dividing by n)

1) Put your data into a lists (stat>edit)
2) Stat>calc>1 Var stats
3) If your list is in L1, type L1 after it says 1-Var stats.

x with a bar over it is the mean, Sx is the standard deviation. Also some other info.

Alternatively, 2nd stat>math gives you options to calculate different features separately (min, max, mean, median, std, etc); type in the list number inside the parentheses

Just use a frequency list: stdDev({3,9},{50,29})

This cannot be accomplished.
