I am honest all of the time unless my honesty could hurt one of my dearest friends, in which case I tend to stretch or leave out parts. But in all actuality honesty really is the best policy.

Yes, i believe that one should be honest at all times .If this honesty will hurt someone dear to you you can just say it in a less hurting way but you should say the truth. And to be honest with you,I can tell you that if you were dear to that person as he is dear to you then they should not be angry that you told them the truth to make themselves better, they should never be angry with you for telling the truth there should be total understanding between you.

There's a big difference between telling the truth, and not spilling the beans. Just because somebody requires, needs, must have the truth, has nothing to do with them getting it. Out and out lying, is a thing of malice, revealing information to the wrong people is stupid. Stupid malice is lying to someone when it is not required, but brutal honesty is a weapon that is used with malice daily. Being silent is a form of deception that can be used for your benefit, or not, but being silent doesn't require active information transfer. So shut up, and be happy.

Yes, silence is required at times, but lies can never be justified under any circumstance. Simple as a dove and wise as the serpent requires asking God for help not to tell a lie. Another method is not to tell the whole truth. We do NOT have to lie; there is always a way to speak the truth at all times; provided it is done wisely.

No, because there are dishonest people that would gladly take advantage of that honesty. Dishonesty to beat dishonesty? Yeah, it is just a question if the ends justify the means.

One can never be completely honest because your almost never in a just truth or just lie situation.

me...i'm dishonest, and a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest, honestly, it's the honest ones you have to look out for...you never can predict if they are going to do something incredibly stupid.......
....jk :-).....for real though...be honest,.....it's just the right thing to do,..even if it hurts.....if you lie, it will hurt even worse later, and you will lose trust and friendship....and also, lies build up and they make you feel rotten inside...the longer you wait to tell the truth....the worse the pain gets......please save yourself and be honest

No. I think honesty is only an opinion anyway - its not necessarily the truth. I think its better to be straight with people and say that this is my opinion.
