I believe that people are so afraid of death, that the convince themselfs of an afterlife. The world would be lawless and out of control if there was nothing to look forward to, or have consequences to fear(from god) after death.

I donno, I think that you might come back to earth again...I don't neccisarily think heaven is all like fluffy and white like movies portray it to be... its hard to say
