My opinion......who else on here thinks people should spell everything completely? Like some people put wat instead of what?! I don't get it! I'm still in school and it already bothers me!
Oh, also, i wanted to ask.......I haven't been on in a while, what did I miss?!

Yes, I think people should take the time to spell things. Unless it is not their native language and they don't know English well enough.
Heck, use Firefox and it has online spell check!! As well as the spell check button that yahoo has.
It only makes it easier to understand. I usually avoid answering people who post questions and can't seem to spell. I figure they won't be able to understand my answer since they can probably barely read.

I do however totally understand, but am a little concerned by the fact that you are still in school, as it is Sunday morning.
I doubt you missed much on Y!A, though Santa did come around earlier complaining that someone had stolen some tools from his shed.

I agree that text speak is totally inappropriate in any medium other than cell phone text messaging, I think it's going to really screw with the way people spell things, and I would hate for our language to disintegrate into a dictionary full of LOL or ROFL. It makes me crazy!
What did you miss?? A lot of questions about what Christmas gifts to give.

People should spell things correctly. Save the txt-msg style of spelling for IMing your friends. Honestly, when I see that in YA, my respect for that person AND his or her answer goes right out the window.

Yeah, it gets me pissed off too. It seems like they just want to hurry and be the first one to answer.

well i'm very guilty of this text stuff and i learned it all on here. I don't mind it but i do mind the badly spelt ?s that make no sense at all.

i think we do it because it's faster than typing the whole word and reads the same
