I have been a fan of baseball all of my life and the most exciting era as with all sports is when steroids are used... I want to see a fatball near 100mph and a ball hit almost 500ft.... You will see a major decline in baseball fans due to this and all you idiots saying getting rid of steroids is a good thing can watch 1 or 2 players hit 40 hr's... Yawn!!

LOL you people crack me up, you pansies are the problem with our society.... Passing judgement on what is right and wrong and the moral fibres of the game??? You are all hypocrates.. I assuem you all toe the line? Steroids began in football in the 60's what should we do about that??? Sports = winning at all costs, and you loosers eat that up!!

Im on the fence about it, party I want to see the strictest possible penalty meaning banned for life to set an example for anyone else & to stop it immediately. But I know thats not realistic, they would probably have to ban half the league or more. On the other hand Im a believer in 2nd chances, you never know when you may need one. So maybe they could find a balance & say ok, from here on out, anyone caught using roids or hgh is banned for life & pardon the people who were caught from the roids era, but they do deserve an asterisk by there stats if caught.

No... You want to clean up the game? Zero Tolerance ! Give everyone 6 months to get clean and then from that point on ...lifetime ban for testing positive for performance enhancing drugs. The worst part of all of this is the guys whose dreams ended in the minor leagues because they were passed up by cheaters. Those guys are now coaching H.S. baseball or working in a factory or something else. If you will be risking a lifetime ban...you will not even think about it. If you give them 3 chances the cheaters will just use 2 of them before they think about going straight. OFF WITH THEIR HEADS ! I say

that's 2 harsh. if they r in the hall of fame, they shud juz take them out of it if they are taking steroids. but i dont think they should be BANNED FOR LIFE. giving them less money is fine, but i'm not sure about the "no pay".

i say banned for life... it is the only thing that will work. After one or two players get caught and get banned.. the whole thing will stop.

Not harsh enough.

Whatever happened to playing for the love of the game?

Arron, Mays, Mantle, Yont, these players played because they loved the game, not for the money. They players today are only after one thing $$$$, the better they play the more $$$ they get and the only way they can play is by cheating...

There are a few players that still play for the love of the game A-Rod is one of them....

The penalty needs to be banished for life, Like Pete Rose.... and He only bet on the game...

All pretty harsh but it is to prove a point and stop the use of steroids.
