A funny song?
Well.
There's Special from Avenue Q.
Well, actually, anything from Avenue Q is funny! =D
There's also My New Philosophy from You're a Good Man Charlie Brown.
A good spunky one is Good Morning Baltimore, but it's becoming more and more popular due to the movie of Hairspray coming out with zac efron.
Also, I wouldn't reccomend doing something that is overdone. Like Popular from Wicked. Every girl does that song these days. So try something different.
Don't like any of these songs? Check out musicnotes.com. They have plenty of songs, and you get to sample the first page of music, and even listen to it! Also, just listen to clips on itunes. If you find one you like, see if you can find the sheet music.
But must importantly, find one that you can connect to, really like, etc. You need to love the song you're singing!! And have fun with it!!!
=D

If you want something funny, take a look at almost any song from the Spamalot soundtrack. Wicked has some good songs, too, such as What is this Feeling? and Popular.
Good luck with your audition!

I think it is most important in your audition if you sing very well. Therefore, I always recommend that someone sing the song they sing the best when they audition. The kind of song doesn't matter much.

Let's see...
If it absolutely has to be from a musical...
Matchmaker, Matchmaker (from Fiddler on the Roof) (I was in that one this year...)
I'm thinking of Popular from Wicked...I've heard the song, but I'm not familiar with the show.
Hum...I'm really not much help. Sorry. Good luck with your audition though!
