I was wondering what the strengths and weakness of the big bang theory?

The strengths of the theory are many; it gives an excellent description of ALMOST everything we see in the observable universe. It does have a few issues, however. The article below gives a good summary of current weaknesses with this theory.

I wouldn't call it a "weakness" so much as a deficiency, but things get a bit fuzzy prior to about 10^-30 seconds because General Relativity and Quantum mechanics both come into play. The two theories have irreconcilable differences when that happens.
