Before you can accept something you have to believe it. I do not believe being gay is something normal so why would I say that a family member who is gay is normal. I know this is going to get me many thumbs down, but thats how I feel.

Because gays are not normal. Duh.
Gays are attempting to redefine what is normal in society, and though it is such a ridiculous attempt, it's just a matter of time before it infiltrates into society. Eventually, just like anything else that consistently presses upon society, as the gay definition of what is normal gains exposure and government is required to support them more and more as part of society, it will become normal, whether we like it or not.
But right now it isn't normal. Thank God!

We generally live in such a conservative nation. Conservatives stand against change and for one reason or another just can't bring themselves to accept it. Like that one guy "Atom" who thinks the world is gonna come to an end!

Because people have their head stuck up their asses. Who the hell is anyone to define normal. Everyone is different, it was not normal for two people to be together if they were married or if they were of different races. So just for the record it is normal to be gay.
remember "people who mind don't matter and people who matter don't mind".

Religion has influenced many people into thinking that gayness is wrong and disgusting. Nowadays, society looks down upon gayness.
Oh, Stevie, yes we can. A married couple is a family, no matter what. If the couple wants kids, there is adoption.

I was at a meal with my cousin last night and she accepts me, so does her sis... the weird thing is that everyone else don't know... and hates gays...
I think it's to do with religious views that were passed down, even though they may be atheist, they can still have hatred.
Which SUCKS.

If either on of my Daughters came to me and told me that she were gay, I would love them the same and I would embrace their partners as daughters. being gay would not change my love for them at all.

because we are different and it is hard wired into our brains from when we were cave people to be afraid of different things. it was a survival reflex that kept the human race alive for all of these years.
