Suriname ( surinam) was formarly Dutch Guyana and is in Northern region of South America .

It shares its borders with Brazil , the Atlantic ocean and French Guinea.

Main exports are Bauxite , rice and bananas, more recently gold and oil deposits are being opened up.

It is a sovereign state, the smallest in the continent, the population is about half a million people made up of people from India , China , the Netherlands , creoles ( descendants of french slavers)and some indiginous tribes people.

There is no primary recognised religion , all the mainstream religions are practised

I would suggest that you could probably not fly direct from a major airport so a flight could take a while

Check out this website http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suriname

Good luck with your assignment

That's funny. You just need to Google "Suriname information" or map & you get lots. You can also try Wikipedia.
Of course, it depends where you are for the flight info.

Well, since you didn't say from WHERE... look it up on a map, calculate the distance and figure an airplane will cover about 520 miles in an hour.
