My husband and I already chose a boy name but we're stuck on the name for a girl. Whenever we agree on a girl's name, one of us changes our mind later on, haha.

We don't like modern names or popular names at the time like Riley, Mackenzie, and Madison. We like more traditional names like Mary, Elizabeth, Laura, etc.

Thanks ahead of time :)

Love the name Elizabeth, especially spelled Elisabeth. It's one of the best, classic and traditional names out there. Plus, there are tons of great nicknames that can come out of it - Ellie (my favorite), Eli (if she's a bit of a tomboy lol), Betsy, Bess, Liz, Abby, Libby, etc.

Laura is also super pretty, and much better than Lauren, in my opinion. I don't really like the name Mary though - too blech for my tastes. I know you said you dislike modern/trendy names, but what about Marina as an alternative to Mary? I love the nickname Rina, and she could even use Mari here.

Other names you might be interested in: Rose/Rosalie/Rosamund, (I think it's so underused as a first name, but way too overused as a middle lol), Annabel, Victoria, June (I love the nickname Junie), Jane (very classic and quite literary lol), Marguerite (Maggie is cute), Cordelia/Cornelia, Briony/Bryony, Celia, Lily, Lucinda, Charlotte, other variations of Elizabeth: Eloise, Eliza, Elise, etc, Eleanor/Elinor/Eleanora (Ellie, Nora, Lennie), Magdalene/Magdalena, Julia/Juliet, Violet, Emily and all variations: Emmeline, Emilia, Emma, etc, Gwendolin, Evangeline/Eva/Evie, Imogene, Alice, Audrey, Diane (Dia), Jeanette, Olivia (it's a bit popular though at the moment, but it's a really pretty classic), Vivian, Ivy, Iris, Anna, Madeleine, Adeline (Addie is adorable), Edith, Winona, Rory, Linette, Anneliese, Molly, Georgina (Georgie, Gia), Ailene, Penelope, Darcy, Annette, Therese, Tabitha, Clare/Clara/Clarisse, Kate/Katherine/Catharine/Catharina/Cat/Kit/Kitty, Sabine, Bellamy, Amelia (Amy, Mia), Sophie, Sadie, Ava, Grace, Matilda/Mathilde (Mattie, Tilda, Tilly), Agatha, Miranda, Sara, etc.

What about combinations like June Elisabeth, Celia Penelope, Sadie Elinor, Lily Alice, Katharine (Kit, love this nickname lol) Jane, Matilda Therese, Charlotte Sabine, or Laura Evangeline? Traditional but still a bit spunky lol.

Good luck and congratulations !!

I saw Elizabeth on your list of examples.........Elizabeth is such a beautiful name!!!!!!! And if you like nick names Ellie is a cute nick name!!!!!! Its also one of my favorite name!

Elizabeth Grace

I also saw Laura on the list but I really love the name Lauren...its similar but not way too modern in my opinion.

Lauren Elaine

Caroline is a pretty name and not modern. However the name is coming back to be some what popular so if it bothers you that it will be too common Caroline might not be the best. however I don't think its way too common that when she grows up and is in school that she will know a lot of Caroline's.

Caroline Fae

Hope this helps and GOOD LUCK!!!
