My phone fell into the toilet, and even though I pulled it out no less tneh 5 sec after it happened It doesn't work.
When I first pulled It out I had problems pulling the battery out so that did take a while but but all the time the battery was in my camera light flashed. when I finally got the battery out I started to blow dry it. all I could see was the screen getting all foggie. later I stuck the battery back in but nothing happened. I tried to get the fogg out but it's impossible. just 5min ago i read that you have to plugg it in but somewhere else it said I shouldn't. Can any one say? I need help, the phone is knew and I just got it 10 days ago. PLEASE!

P.S. It's one of those nokia's that slide open. All i've been able to figure out is how to get the battery out. I have no clue of how to open up the rest. :(
It's kind of a technological chalenge.

Well, most of the experience I have had with this. The cell phone is ruined, and you will have to get another.
If you have insurance, you can get another at the trade in cost. The bad thing is that you may have to end up paying full price for a replacement if it was not insured. If not you can pay the fee to get out of the contract, which is pretty steep, and get a free one from a new provider.
Try just taking the battery out, leaving the back off, and letting it dry out for a few days. Sometimes the moisture is deep within the phone, and this will give it some time to make its way out. I did have some measure of success with this one time.
Not that it is any added consolation, but the insurance provider one time told me that toilet deaths for cell phones is quite common.

You cannot blow dry your phone when the full housing is on, you have to take a screwdriver and open and take off the housing, and when you are blow drying it, make sure you use the cool setting on your blow dryer if you have it. The reason why it didn't work was because the heat plus the moisture, made higher humidity than you started with, so if you open the phone up and blow dry it, then it should work just fine after that. However you might want to call the manufacturer if you plan on getting the phone replaced or it is a smartphone , because if you do not get permission to open the phone up by a representative, the warranty will void!

i realize it sounds so stupid yet take the battery and each thing out and placed it into uncooked rice for some days. It sounds dumb however the rice soaks the moisture out of the gadget, so because it is why you go away it in there to get all of it out. once I dropped my iPhone into water and there became into water i ought to certainly see interior the show screen, and does no longer artwork. I placed it in rice for extra or less 5 days, and the water interior the show screen became into long gone and it worked completely. in case you place it in rice and it nonetheless would not artwork, you ought to attempt getting a sparkling battery because of the fact the water would have ruined the battery. Radio Shack sells batteries for terribly just about any telephone. If it nonetheless would not artwork, then you definitely ought to attempt putting it back in. good success!

You're screwed. If you just got it 10 days ago, see if you can still get insurance on it. Sometimes they give you up to 14 days to change your mind about the insurance. Other than that you will have to buy a new one.

Let it dry for a while before you turn it on...if you already tried to turn it on you might have shorted it out if it was still wet. Other then that I dunno....keep blow drying it
