I love it - except for the very darkest, grayest winters.
The winters are very mild (from a former mid-westerner's perspective) if a little wet.
The summers can be moderate to very warm, but the humidity is not really an issue. In the 12+ years here there have been less than 10 days of summer that broke 100 degrees F.

You can see all kinds of ecosystems with very little investment in travel: rain forest, high desert, forest, plains, wetlands, metropolitan, and I am sure I have missed a few.

FYI - somehow your question got posted 5 times, but.....

Seattle WA, is one of the most amazing places to hang out. You always have different activetys to do. Although if you plan on living here, I just have to say have fun. Seattle is in the top 10 of the most expensive citys to live. Also if you are homophobic, which I am not, but if you are, Seattle has one of the largest amount of gays in this city. But if you are looking for good coffee a fun time and never to be bored, Seattle is deffinatly the place you would want to be. Although at times the weather isnt perfect, very rainy and winters can be difficult sometimes if u dont know how to drive in the snow.

It's the prettiest city I've ever been to in America. I am from Florida and now live in Denver and I miss the ocean. In Seattle you have it all. The weather although some complain about it is very relaxing and romantic. Easy drive to Canada and Portland, Or. too.

Seattle is quite nice, I have lived there and in the San Francisco area and prefer Seattle by far. Lot of culture and close to many interesting things to do and see. The rain is a bother at times but you learn to deal with it.

I've lived in the area since 1992 and love it out here. The traffic can be frustrating at times, but is manageable. I love the milder winters and not to hot summers. The rain during the winter months can be a bit annoying. It's not for everyone, but I enjoy the area and what it has to offer.

I can go to wild clubs on the weekend and see a few deer on my way home just 30 minutes outside of Seattle. I love it. It's home.
