I was watching a documentary of the history of video games and they mentioned Sega Genesis which I remember very well as a child. Whatever happened to this company!

Shortly after the Dreamcast, they moved on and merged with another company and became a 3rd party developer/publisher.

I think Sega just... gave up making systems. I used to have a Sega Saturn once, but... it didn't last too long. Crazy console kept making the game stuck and I only had two: "Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3" and "NiGHTS into Dreams...".

Then, the Dreamcast... I tried playing that and it was just as bad as the Saturn. Both of those systems didn't last too long at all, but the Sega Genesis and Game Gear... I'll give positive credit for. They tried their best, but I agree that they should stick with making games for other systems.

I hear you, I remember playing Sonic and Shining force on my Sega Genesis. To be honest, I don't know why they haven't release a Sega console in quite some time. Maybe you should write to them and see. Hey! If you have a wii, they have Sega Genesis games on the wii shop channel. It gives me the itch to go buy a classic controller and a wii points card. ^_^
