I've eaten shrimp for the last two nights, could use some new ideas. Shrimp scampi the first night, then Tempura shrimp last night.
I need meat, and it needs to be a quick meal, because my feet hurt and I don't really wanna stand at the stove to long.
Any ideas?

How about a steak?...I usually like it with a side of cottage cheese and sliced tomato when I'm in a rush.

I'm having a comfort meal....sauerkraut with pork ribs [cut into bite sized portions] and italian sausage and baby Yukon potatoes...all in one pot...YUMMY

The ribs are still parboiling...boiled the taters to al dente already and will add the kraut to the ribs and some of the stock after they are done and also add pre-browned sausage. I usually have it with cornbread and have some muffins I will warm up.

Chicken and dumplings for me. Chicken has finished stewing and I'll do dumplings shortly.

I see you are a shrimp lover like me. Have you ever had shrimp or scallops wrapped in bacon? Just made some for company few days ago.

I cook bacon on paper towels in microwave until almost done. Sprinkle large cleaned and deveined shrimp with paprika, garlic salt or your favorite seasoning (Old Bay might be nice but I haven't tried it). Wrap bacon around shrimp and secure with toothpick. Broil or bake at high heat until bacon is done. Watch closely. Turn often. Absolutely loverly!

Good old beans and hot dogs is quick. To give them some flair, slice the dogs lengthwise (not all the way through). Fill them with cheese and wrap in bacon. I usually put them in the oven at 350 for about 5 to 10 minutes then switch to broiler for about 5 minutes.

I'm a huge salad eater ( not your good for ya salads either ) so how about a salad w/ mixed greens, all of the things you like best on it and marinate yourself a flank steak slice and put atop your bed of greens. With a roll you have your meat ,starch , and veggies ! Easy and good . I'll tell ya ...I love a drizzle of both ranch and balsmic vinegarette an that. Hope whatever you have you enjoy!!!

I spent all day running up and down the stairs doing laundry so I put in a frozen lasagna in the oven. It takes 2 hours to cook but it was good.

soft tacos, with dried tomato "shells", I love hot spicey food, its quick and easy - fry hamburger, dump a lot of taco seasoning in the pan, shred cheese and lettuce - put it all together with salsa on the taco - roll it up - fold the ends over before rolling so it doesnt ooze out - sooooo good ! I make a dozen and wrap them up with saran wrap and stick them in the fridge then I can microwave them later on --

Total cost for a dozen tacos is $2 for hamburger, $1.99 for the shells, $2 worth of cheese, and the salsa I buy when its on sale - $1.49 for a small jar - that will make a dozen tacos for $7.50 which is pretty cheap eating -

Wally you need some good cheap recipes - ladies shall we send him some?

Sorry guys, I'm on a bread and water budget. Top ramen without the little packet of salt and lots of frozen mixed veggies for me does it.
