She doesn't wear makeup...she says it is unnatural

she is not a brat or anything like that. She has manners, always says please and thank you, etc. I just need some ideas.....she is a drama queen but isn't into makeup. She says it's unatural

Maybe (if you wouldn't mind spending time with her), if you're her aunt or something, you could give her a little certificate for a fun day with you. You could go with her and see a movie, have dinner, and maybe do something else (shopping, ice skating, bowling, ice cream). My aunt did that with me once and we had a lot of fun.
Or, maybe something like a little movie night kit. You could put together in a basket or something a nice cozy blanket, a few DVDs you know she'd like and doesn't have, and some popcorn and candy. Some DVDs she'd be sure to love are She's the Man (one of my favorites, very funny and age-appropriate) and A Cinderella Story. You might want to make sure she doesn't have them though, cause those are kind of popular for kids her age and she might already have them.

Get her a ticket to a play in your area (there are many shows available which you can find by looking in your local papers); then take her to a special lunch or dinner to a place you know she likes; or: Make an appointment for a manicure or pedicure or to have her hair styled. Get a CD of a group you know she likes. Do you know of any author who she particularly likes? Go to your local book store and see if they have some ideas of popular reading material for girls of her age. Is there a group she would love to see perform? Maybe tickets to see them. Naturally, you will have a budget so some of these ideas will be out but you can find something she will like if you think about her interests. Does she have pierced ears (earrings); does she like sports (sports memorobilia for her team); does she wear a certain type of clothing (sweatshirts, hoodies, etc.); does she take pictures (a camera card for her camera). How about a mystery date? (Take her to lunch and a movie or shopping at a place she loves to go and pick out the gift with her.) Have a pizza surprise party at the local pizza place; invite her friends and show up with a cake and gifts. Use your imagination an have fun!

Well when i was 12 i was getting into music concerts etc.
if she's interested in music how about tickets?
Im not sure about prices or where you can buy things coz im from the UK but here's some ideas ..
Tv or something technical for her room?
You say she has an ipod what about a speaker system/ or accessories for it?
Any tv series she's into? DVD Boxsets
Perfume?
Gift experiences?
Makeover? (or girly stuff like that )
DS games
Straightners/Curlers
Or give her the money for a shopping spree!

i keep thinking of giftcards, but there are so many places, you could get one to AE or banana republic; urban outfitters, hollister, you name it.
marc jacobs has some really nice items this season, at his marc by marc jacobs store there are things for less than 10 dollars. sadly, you cant get his stuff online, so this would prob. only work if you live in a big city.

Does she have lots of books? If not..maybe she can get a book! If she likes reading of course.
That's what I'm asking for, XD. LOL, my parents know they can just get me a gift certifcate to chapters!
Maybe pajamas? My parents always get me cute Christmas ones, or are there any movies she'd like that are coming out during the holidays?

Sounds like a blossoming young lady.... perhaps she might like spending the day having hair, nails done etc...at a spa. So perhaps a gift certificate for the spa would be different.

if by "drama queen", you mean shes into theatre and the likes, take her to a show. it doesnt have to be b'way, it can be somewhere in the community. try to see a mainstage show.

an itunes gift card would be nice, a gift card to her favorite store, stuffed animal (im 16 and i still love them), a nice purse, or just give her the money in a card.
