When my husband died suddenly at age 41 and I had to tell my 2 young children, ages 7 and 3 that they would never see their dad again. My heart aches everyday for my children who have to grow up without their daddy. It is very painful to know that my children will graduate, get married & have children (some day hopefully) and go through other major "milestones" without their dad (physically) there. The only thing more PAINFUL that I could imagine (& pray that I NEVER have to experience) would be the loss of a child.
And to the person who asked this question, what is YOUR answer to this question?

I was attacked by a dog who had a brain tumor and went freakin crazy. He dove for my throat and I put my left arm up and he nearly tore my arm off. The canines ripped me open just below the elbow, it was a scene from a horror show. I almost bled to death, went into shock and was rushed to the hospital. They had to helicopter in a plastic surgeon to fix me up. It was brutal. I had finals the next day and insisted on being released, went to school with a drain tube in my arm and a jar. I was pale as a ghost, sweating and holding my jar. I passed my finals and graduated from college with a 3.2 gpa and I currently have a 4.0 seeking my next degree. i still love animals though and I have 4 that are all rescues

when I was 6 we were eating at a BBQ restauraunt and I spilled a fresh steaming hot pot of coffee on my lap. I had to go to the hospital that night, then a few years later I had surgry to remove the huge blister that was still there. I still have a scar there on my upper thigh. (I'm 18)

The loss of my 15 y/o son. There's no greater pain than to lose a child, especially when it's so unexpected.

Physically-childbirth

Emotionally-daughter didn't talk to us for 3 years. It hurt so much because we loved her so much. I use to wake up crying in the middle of the night. I actually think my heart was broken.
Things are better now. :)
