You bet we can! Just by driving slower and conserving gasoline. If the speed limit is 75 people will go 10-20 miles per hour faster which uses more gasoline than at 55-60 mph.
This alone will save thousands of gallons! Ethanol is not the answer either because it takes about 25% more per mile than gasoline. That way we don't need to be in countries that don't want there taking their natural resourses

Bwahahah! Someone said "it has nothing to do with oil because if it did we would have cheaper gas"
Right. The way to make more profit, is to provide something that's a necessity for most, "cheaper". Meanwhile in other news, record profits for all oil companies!
I got a friend still, always in my heart. He died today, 3 years ago in Iraq. He has a 3 year old son that was born 4 months early (due to the trauma of the news to his wife). We have tried to take care of them as needed, but I don't have the financial means to do so anymore. That video was sad, and this is a very emotional day for me. I think I'm done with Y!A for today.
Teaparty tommorow, meet me there!

Yes, there's more to it than oil.
Bush wanted to be considered a Great President for winning a war.
Haliburton is making much more money for Cheney than oil money, by ripping us off in their no-bid contracts.
We may still end up with the permanent presence there that was Rumsfelds' reason for wanting to go.
See? Not just about oil. About all those really cr*ppy reasons.

freedom is not free it cost thousands of people deaths, so when you drive your car or use your ipod etc, thank a vet. all plastics are a petroleum product and the fuel comes from countries that don't like us. so please support our troops. it is easy to criticize if you don't have all the information. we need a secure source of oil coming to this country.
