I would use silver polish with a couple of black dots in keeping with your dress.

If you don't want it to look too fancy, you can always stick with clear but if you want color, use one that looks somewhat natural - silver or black isnt' but many colors go well with both. Choose a color that pleases your eye and you won't have a problem.
