I'm doing some research about such places and was wondering of any sites I might be able to visit. The bigger, the better, but any abandoned buildings will do.

Go to the county registrars office or the county clerks office and go ask there, they will know.

If you can't find the number just call the general number for the county government.

You may have to look through all the listings yourself on a computer, the clerks just keep the data base, beyond a couple of things like titles deeds right of ways underground pipes and such they don't do the research for you.

But they will tell you how to look and they may even know a few abandoned buildings. One thing, usually the are abandonded is it would cost too much to bring them up to the current building code, so get it inspected before you buy.

You may buy a building and then have no one to sell it to.

Abandoned buildings in Vegas? There are a few but they are fenced and boarded to keep vagrants out. Contact the Nevada Contractors Board under State of NV to find out if your request is realistic.

There are alot if you go to the downtown strip. There are tons.
Just take a drive around the bad parts of the strip and there'll be plenty.

There's also old scary abandoned shacks in the dessert if you look.

during my visit to Vegas in 2006, I saw several around and near the Freemont St. area near the old strip (downtown). Looked as though they were going to be demolished.
