Hi,

Very simple, no one is making much in the way of agp cards now as they have all switched to pci-e.

The more they make the cheaper they get.

Along with the fact that manufacturing of electronic components has gotten cheaper and more efficient.

Because ALLl new cards are designed as PCIe cards. Economy of scale due to large volume makes it cheap. Now, to make an AGP variant out of a PCIe card, manufacturers need to add a bridge chip plus heatsink. The cost of the additional parts and the relatively low sales volume make the AGP variant expensive.
