Did you continue to wear it anyway? My guy has told me that plenty of times, I just laugh it off and tell him he's jealous he can't wear it.

Well back in the mid 70s, my first love didnt' like the green eye-shadow I had on, but he would never tell me I looked like a whore!! Or his face would have been on the backside!! And he would have regretted ever saying that to me! He gently told me, that he didn't like me with color on my face, that I was to pretty for all that color, so we agreed to disagree. I asked him so "What if I wear earthy colors, will you allow me to do that?" Because I love to look good for you. He said that would be much better than that Green stuff you have on!! So, ever since the mid-70s I've been wearing the El' Naturel' look!! Because of him, even though we're no longer together! Not for him for any particular reason, for myself, because once I started to wearing it, I also liked it on myself better as well. I doubt your man is jealous, but if you want to keep him you need to sit him down and have a mature talk with him about agreeing somehow with this situation your in, or he may just end up looking around for someone who will look more the way he likes. There's a fine line in being rebellious towards your man! Word from the wise, be very careful how you rebel with your man! There's always plenty of fish in the sea, Literally!!! Smile!!!

And good for you to sticking to your guns and wearing make-up the way you want to.

Yes! I wear black eyeliner and brown eyeshadow. Iv ben told i look lyk a cheap hooker! But that was from an ex bf and he thought i was sexy b4 i dumpd him.

my mother used to make remarks, but once I had a friend say it ... when I looked at a mirror outside my rooms I sort of agreed it could be a little lighter and changed it, agreed that it was better with a little less, got more compliments too !
