It seems likely that there do exist parallel universe. What their nature or relationship to our Universe is, though, no one has any idea. Perhaps someday we'll find out, but it will probably take a while.

String theory, the theory that links quantum mechanics, electromagnetism and nuclear forces with relative physics says yes. It also supports the theory of alternate time lines and particles known as tachyons.

If science, not science fiction, has its way, then yes.
