Kane's the only one that can push him out of the pole position but, I agree, Toews may be too strong. Barring a long term injury, the awar's got ot be his. The Hawks will certainly benefit in more ways than one if Toews and Kane were to keep up this pace through into April.

Wow. You are really missing a few prime rookies from the Oilers!

Tom Gilbert Defence 5 goals, 10pts plays big minutes avg over 21/game. Incredible stick work hard to get around and is +5. Amazing skater. And has had to play against the top lines due to the defense injury bug in Edmonton. I'd compare him to a mix between Paul Coffey and Charlie Huddy.

Sam Gagner 16 pts 6th pick last years draft, 18 yr old, smart player, great vision from behind the red line. Will become a great powerplay playmaker on day.... his moves in the shootout are sick! Always crashing to net for rebounds.

Andrew Cogliano 16 pts with 2 shorties He is fast... wait to see him compete in the skills competition at the all-star break. Reminds me a future hall of famer... Glenn Anderson if he passes that mental mark of going full speed for the back of the net.

Just playing for MacT should be enough for them to get the reward because he doesn't let you play if you make a mistake... vets Stoll and Torres got put in the press box for a game!

They play 5 minutes less per game than Toews and Kane... imagine if they had more icetime and critical time on ice... most of this is on even time!

Chris, Price wont get it. Unless he takes the starting job in the next week for the rest of the season and leads them to a cup....

Kane, Toews, and Backstrom (Was) are my picks for the nominees , with Toews taking it.

Backstom has 5 G, 16A in 32 games BTW.

i have never even heard of this voros.

but in my opinion i hope that kane wins it.

it should be "Carey Price, Jonathon Toews, or Patrick Kane"

those will be the final three finalists.

Aaron Voros isn't eligible to win the Calder Trophy, he's too old.

His stats also suck.............9 points in 16 games is much worse than any other forward who has won the award.

i'd say Kane at the moment but plenty of things can still happen between now and the end of the season
