Do you remember what the occasion of making, recieving or buying it was and If so can you share your memory with us?
My first one was making popcorn garland with my mom when I was around 6 years of age and my second fondest memory was making a Christmas tree card for her out of maccaroni when I was in kindergarden.
She has kept it in a trunk for me all these years!

My daughter worked in Italy for a few years but every Christmas she came home to spend the season with the family. She is very talented and made a beautiful glass ball decorated with little leaves, dried flowers, tiny roses, pearls and crystals. She carried it in her hands all the way home on the plane so it wouldn`t get broken. I love it so much I can`t pack it away with all the other decorations. It is on my shelf where I can see it every day to remind me of her love.

Me and my 3 brothers all get a x-mas ornament from my (our) mother every x-mas. The tree has about half of it filled with stuff from all over the world (either imported by her personally or found in some crazy shop)
One of those is a miniature wind chime with a gold, Chinese like roof. It is so friendly sounding we have it hanging all year round. At least once a day we hear an angel getting wings or pixie being born. :)

Hi,
We have a couple of ornaments that were given to the children by their granddad when they were tiny and since he isn't around any more they bring back happy memories.
I also have a Christmas catcus (not an ornament I know) but this was given to us when we got married 30 years ago by my in-laws and it flowers every Christmas and every Easter. Every time it flowers I think back to our younger days and the happy times we spent with the family at Christmasses gone by.

My siblings and I each get a ornament each year, but my first Xmas I spent in foster care so I didn't have a first Xmas ornament, but my mom went out and bought me one. It's of a little kid sitting on a snowflake, my sis broke it while putting it on the tree this year. I think I fixed it!

Every ornament that my children have made for me. Some are very fragile these days and get packed carefully. They are the last things to go on the tree, so that all may see them.

kinda. my older brother made this mouse sleeping in half a walnut shell ornament when he was in preschool. its really cute. he passed away years ago but we still hang it on our tree every year and it is special to me. seeing the "ds" (his initials) on the bottom means something to me. i want to describe it more. it is half a walnut with an acorn glued to one side with a cute face drawn on it, the part of the walnut that is hallow is covered with a pink piece of cloth (a blanket) and it has grey fabric cut in the shape of mouse ears and a tail. all glued together where it should be.

For me that is the paper mache ornament that opens. When I was young it always had something in it from my mother to me. Now it is on the tree holding something from my mother and myself to my own daughter.
