That is sort of a tough question. I have had money growing up, not a lot but was living pretty good through the family business and then things got tough in the 80's. My family was never wasteful but we thought nothing of going out and spending a couple hundred dollars on dinner or buying new cars. Then things changed. I was put through college and worked really hard in the corporate world. Now, I am back in school getting my second degree and I watch every penny and appreciate everything I have. Some times people don't realize how good they have it until you go through lean times. It has made me a better person and more respectful of people's plights and the tough things they go through. Now, that being said I think it is ridiculous how some of these super rich people spend money AND complain! I saw where a rich Saudi family went to England on a "shopping spree" and spent millions of dollars. That is more of the exception because very few people have billions and billions to spend. We are a country and in many ways a World of haves and have nots. The distant between the rich and the poor is greater than ever before with the middle class stumbling around to stay comfortable and not drop to the next level. It is a f'ed up country when it comes to medical care and prescription drugs. Most people can't afford to be sick especially if you have no insurance. i was on medication with insurance and it was $25 a month. lost my insurance and it went to $130 a month. Something is wrong, wrong, wrong!.............WHEW! I will stop now. Thanks for reading.

It frustrates me to see others spend money on more crap. I am a simple person. My son's girlfriend has chosen a lap top as her big gift from her parents. She said the spending limit is $1400. That is enough money to feed my family for 3 months and to me a ridiculous amount to spend on a 16 year old for one of her gifts.

If I worked hard enough to earn that money, I could spend it. The reason I don't have it is because I haven't earned it. They did, so........who cares what they do with it.

Well since they usually can't afford it I tend to pity them. Being in debt ain't fun.

I only get mad when they complain about being broke.
