Average salaries from most top 15 MBA programs are over $100,000 per year.

Coming straight out of business school, your safest bet to riches is through a hedge fund or a private equity firm. Though the people who really reach billions of dollars are usually entrepreneurs, there is a lot more risk involved in starting your own business as opposed to joining an existing firm. Starting base salaries at hedge funds or PE firms for first year MBAs are around $400,000 with a year end bonus equal to or greater than the base salary. That means you'll be making at least $800,000 you first year out of business school. Not bad. Good luck!
