As opposed to BC?

BC stands for the English words "Before Christ," and AD stands for the Latin words "Anno Domini," which translate roughly as "Year of the Lord."

I agree with callahan, but, I guess it could be Attention Deficit, although that is usually with an DHD tacked on.
