what do i tell him to get him to stop cutting?

my best friend, who i love more than a friend and is cutting. he said he doesnt think there's anything wrong with it, so i need good reasons that it is wrong. please help

oh and dont tell me he needs to go to a mental hospital, because he's in counciling

and i need reasons other than, ur gonna end up dead, hurt, or in rehab. i need actual reasons other than "its bad b/c ur hurting urself"

for one talk to him about why he is doing it and see if you can help him stop other than that there isnt much reasons except that yea it is highly unhealthy and can make you wind up dead you need to get it in his head that yea there is something wrong with it cutting is a sin, its dangerous, and just pure out dumb to do

First of all, you can't. Only he can decide to quit being stupid.

Second of all, by hiding his secret from his family, you are enabling him to continue to do it.

Third, If he's in counseling, then his counselor needs to know about this behavior.

Fourth, He does need to be in a mental hospital because he is a danger to himself.

tell him that he needs to stop because slitting yourself doesn't make anything better. you will end up in rehab and you will not have a happy life. theres better ways tto deal with problems than hurting yourself.
