Check your power settings, and make sure the air card isn't going into sleep mode, etc..
Sometimes the card will "sleep", if you are on a page for a long time , "thinking" you are done using it.
Go to control panel, then hardware, and find your network adapter. Then chose advanced settings and make sure "power saving" is off, and if it has a sleep mode, turn it off too. So many different configurations makes it hard to do much troubleshooting for this type of question! Good luck.

howdy - what i might advise is here: on the laptop it quite is logged onto the internet, sort interior the addres bar: 192.168.2.a million this might take you on your routers abode website. that's the place u can set up protection etc. click on the menu to the left, the button labelled 'protection'. pass away the password container sparkling, and click ok. you will come onto the website the place your protection is desperate up. in case you have a wep key, it quite is going to be indexed right here. u can now sort it into your laptop that cant connect with the internet yet. (you are able to decide for to apply your place telephone selection as a WEP key - it quite is 10 digits long, plus the area code yet with out the 1st 0 and is common so which you will submit to in suggestions. in case you may decide for a WEP key, it quite is worth utilising the telephone selection for it. If there is already a selection there, then write it down and use it to get into the different laptop) besides the undeniable fact that, your key could be an prolonged one with 26 blended letters and numbers (hex), wherein case, u will locate this information an identical way as i defined above besides the undeniable fact that it quite is going to be a mixture of letters and numbers. it quite is going to purely be one or the different! (edited slightly from unique answer as i re-examine it and it didnt make complete sense!) sturdy success.

I have had this problem but not to the same extent. My connection used to drop unexpectedly every one or two days. I checked the signal strength with the free program Wifi SiStr and added a high gain antenna to my router. I also added a magmount antenna to my PCI wifi adaptor (I know that it may not be possible in every case) and have had no trouble since. It seems to be a signal strength issue as people move around the house.

well ur wireless card prob doesn't have enough range to reach the router. I guessing the card is a G. If u want a better range without losing the signal u might want to get a G+ or which covers a larger range
