As recently as Oct. 07 President Bush said, Iran's bomb-building program could be a precursor to "World War III".
This week Time Magazine reports that Bush told a press conference, Iran halted it's weapons program in 2003.
Was the NIE holding back information or was the President just not listening?

President Bush wants a war with with Iran so the truth of a nuclear program will never be known. Corporate U.S. news agencies will fabricate a wonderfully horrible reason for war, George Bush (or Hillary Clinton) will say "I told you so" and a new war has started. Government reports cannot be used in the same sentence with the word "truth". This is the same govt. that allowed and aided in the world trade center massacre.

I trust the CIA's "N.I.E." more than I will ever trust G.W. Bush - the CIA's report even proved that Bush was a liar about his inferring that Saddam Hussein had anything to do with 9/11. G.W. Bush is not interested in anyone's version of the truth, other than his own, which is why he is such a lousy president. I will be glad to see his term of office finished and relegated to history, because quite frankly, IMHO, it sucks.

I don't know what* to believe anymore. I don't trust our government. I think this is yet another way for our gov't to control us and intimidate us with fear. We are a nation of sheep and will do what we are told to do or what to believe by gov't officials. I think the real* terrorists are in Washington, D.C.
We can only take so much before we revolt and say that we have had enough. We have to take back our rights as Americans.

I don't think you can believe that Iran had a weapons program before 2003. There is no evidence of it. They were wrong about Iraq, why should we believe them?

Iran never had a weapons program.

The at present disclosed CIA intelligence rewards Iran for combating their gorilla conflict against the yank occupation of Iraq, and cools the point of the chilly conflict between Iran and the U. S.. an analogous intelligence became into withheld in 2003 to create conflict hysteria against Iran, with a view to make attainable a militia attack against them and to intimidate Iran by using making them have self assurance we'd attack them. Barring such an attack, Bush II can attempt to stress Iran into backing off of Iraq. The CIA releases the intelligence that might help the plans of Bush II. it incredibly is not an open democratic corporation. For conflict against Saddam in Iraq it lied with claims of WMD. For the tried attack against Iran (which now could be on carry) it lied on the subject of the state of Iranian weapons progression. Bush i became into head of the CIA, and on an analogous time as he became into there crafted a plan for militia domination of the region, construction underground bunkers interior the barren region of Saudi Arabia that we nevertheless occupy. while he became President, Bush i began out to have interplay his plan by using goading Saddam to attack Kuwait by using telling him by diplomatic “lower back channels” the U. S. does not merchandise if he would take over Kuwait (an historic province of Iraq). as quickly as Saddam invaded of direction, Bush I unleashed conflict plans that allowed the U. S. to proceed to be interior the region with militia forces. As a democracy we can't have faith the CIA to offer us uncomplicated information. The elite view in government is that public opinion in a democracy must be controlled and manipulated. concern of WMD seems to be their favored technique. in certainty, Iran is springing up WMD. One could question, although, how lots of this could be a self-relaxing technique as a results of fact of Iran attempting to guard itself against the bullying of the Bush dynasty.

One report says they are working on nukes and the media says that's a"lie." Another report (coincidentally during the primary season) says they are not working on nukes and the media thinks that's the gospel.

Depends on which "slant" you prefer.
