If only I knew how to snap out of depression... prescription depression meds are no fun but sometimes they do help. Just gotta put up with the side effects.
If you don't want to go that route though, there are other alternatives you could try such as jogging, meditating, taking hot baths, hanging out with friends... hmm... I've done all these things myself, and yet the depression remains. Some days are just easier than others. Wish I could do more to help, but I can't.

Fish Oil (for Omega 3), Sunlight, exercise, and limiting your simple carbohydrate levels (refined carbohydrates: sugar, white flour) will help to alleviate general symptoms of depression. Adding iodized salt to your diet might help as you may not be getting enough iodine in your regular diet. Iodine is necessary for the production of thyroid hormones.
Have your blood pressure checked. High blood pressure might cause you to feel restless.
Have your blood glucose levels checked. An abnormal glucose level may make you feel tired and contribute to loss of memory.
Have your TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) levels checked. Your thyroid hormones help to regulate your metabolism. An abnormal thyroid hormone level may make you feel agitated (high) or tired (low) and contribute to loss of memory.
You can get your blood work done by qualified doctors without the need of an order from you personal physician in the U.S.A. at:

You have your blood drawn at a location near where you live
( You get to pick the location). The results of the blood test are sent directly to you. Along with your test results are a note from a doctor explaining any abnormal test results.

Sweetie, as a LOOOONG!-time Major Clinical Depression sufferer... Not all of them are nasty... it's just REALLY! hard to find one that works for you. I have absolutely No luck with Prozac, for instance! (Everyone else I EVER talked to/heard of was INSTANTLY helped. Damn.)
The only thing I'm aware of is St. John's Wort. Allegedly, it's a good "natural" anti-depression herb. I have NO first-hand knowlege.
Get you act together quickly? NOPE! If you DO hear of a way that works, PLEASE!!! email me, asap??
As to the well-wishers and hopefuls who have suggestions, I am refering to CLINICAL depression; NOT the blues. }:>

I answered this one before... I said you need to kick you know who out the door along with his clothes.. He is the reason for the depression. Dont rely on pills when you know the reason. He aint worth you feeling depressed.. Sorry yu are feeling so down but YOU yourself know the problem. You cant drink yourself under the table or pop pills for this cause the prob aint going away.
