Answer the question. Don't go on an anti-Hillary tangent. I'm just curious to know that if being a woman automatically puts you at a disadvantage. Why wouldn't you want a woman to be president?

Don't write about Hillary Clinton!! This is a general societal question.

If your reason is "they should stay in the kitchen", wjhatever..that's a reason so post it. Trying to figure out the public's opinion on this.

There are probably a lot of people (mostly old coots) who wouldn't vote for a woman if she was endorsed by God Almighty. However most folks, myself included, are more interested in issues than gender. I personally wouldn't hesitate to vote for a woman president if I thought it was the right woman, but my vision of the right woman is someone like Maggie Thatcher or Golda Meier, not Hillary Clinton.

NO!! i would not be such an ignorant sheep i will quite say that whilst a die no longer complication-free feminist i would not purely vote for somebody purely becuase of their gender, definitely why carry out a little oversimplify womens politics many times? To vote for her one the foundation of being a woman is sexism for a initiate, and can provide the effect that someway coverage isn't something....

Yes, some people wouldn't vote for a woman because they think that women don't have what it takes to be "The President of the United States".

If I was American I would not vote for a woman presidential candidate. Remember Thatcher here in Britain? Wouldn't wish anything like HER on ANY nation. She never listened to anybody because in her opinion she was always right. Did you know our Queen couldn't stand the woman? Never have believed in women ruling countries anyway.

Unfortunately there are very few women Id vote for, mainly because lack of qualification and name recognition.Hillary isnt qualifed since shes riding the coatails of Bill Clinton.

Only ones who could think of voting for are Condi Rice or Madeline Albright.

I honestly can't see where gender has much to do with a good leader, brains are infinitely more important, and sure would be nice to have in a leader again...its been a while...
