You should have replaced it a long time ago. You also may want to replace the tensioner as well because if either of these items fail you WILL end up with serious engine damage. Frankly it's amazing it hasn't failed yet.

On 1995 & prior models, replace at 60,000 mile intervals. On 1996 & later models, inspect every 30,000 miles or 24 months, replace every 60,000 miles or 48 months, inspect again at 90,000 miles or 72 months, replace again at 120,000 miles or 96 months & so on.
