my friends mom has a couple of daughters who are girl scouts,
and she accidentally glued the patches on wrong.
how do we get the glue off of the sashes/vests?

Hello:

If they are iron-on patches, they can be warmed with the iron and peeled off.

If it is "white glue," the kind used in school, it can be soaked in warm water overnight and the patches peeled off.

If it is permanent glue, you might try peeling them off, but most likely they are there forever. If your freind's mother does not know how to sew, fabric stores sell iron-on glue in sheets that can be cut to the size of the patch. There is also a product available called "Badge Magic." It can be found at Scouting retailers, or via online search.
