My mom just discovered a roach in our living room this morning, which I find really disgusting, and I was wondering if there is a way to prevent more from coming?

Call an exterminator to check it out, go to the yellow pages in your phone book. Also i have had one in my home, but i never saw another one so it could be just a 1 time thing. Never squish a cockroach, because if it gets squished, the moment it does, it sprays out a whole new batch of eggs, just put it on something and let it outside or get it exterminated.

The best product I've seen on the market is I think now illegal. It's the stuff that looks like coffee. I worked wonderfully. I never saw another roach. I don't think you can purchase it anymore, but Bengal works okay too.

Boric acid is very effective when used properly for killing roaches. You can also get a house lizard, they are natural enemies and will eat them.

its really hard to get rid of them. Call an exterminater. If you live in a row home you neighbors need to be exterminated also. Good Luck!
