Assuming he was HOME when you got preggers . . . .
Send hima message slightly cryptic . . .
Send him a lovey dovey letter and make lots of "us" and "we" references then make it clearer as you go through it.

Or if you are of a poetic nature, write him a love poem about love growing and blossoming . . . and things, hint at it, more than blurt it out !

Buy a doppler that you can hear the heartbeat and record it, then send him a little tape recorderer with the tape in it so he can hear it, or if you go to your first U/S before you tell him, see if they can tape it.

You could also send him a care package, but this time add something in there that hints your pregnant, like an I love my Daddy bib. Sorry he is deployed. My hubby was a few years ago and Im pregnant now, but he's here with me. Good Luck and Congrats!

Send him something creative. Maybe a poem in an e-mail. I know its hard tho. Ive dealt with mine being deployed, but never being prego while he was gone. Good luck.

Send him letter with another envelope inside...in the letter tell him you are really looking forward to talking to him on Christmas day...and ask him to make sure to call you and not to open the other letter until he's on the phone with you! Put a card with a baby announcement in the other envelope and seal it...but put on the card "DO NOT OPEN UNTIL CHRISTMAS". When you two are talking...tell him he can now open his 'Christmas present'...then he'll be able to find out on his own and still be able to talk to you. But you'll have to send the mail to him ASAP and probably like same day or something...to make sure he gets it by Christmas.

Well, it is hard but I usually leave him flowers on his bed at night with a short poem about it and fall asleep before he can do anything.

Tell him "don't get killed or your son will be an orphan".
