Hey,

I've been looking into high definition monitors with a resolution of 1080p and an HDMI input to play my Playstation 3 on, and I stumbled across this relatively cheap, well-reviewed, Hanns·G HG-216DPO monitor:

What do you think of it? It's 21.6", only $210, well reviewed, and has an HDMI input. Do you have any other suggestion for a monitor of this size and price range instead of this?

I was looking very closely at this monitor and almost bought it several times before backing down. I saw newegg.com had a 22 inch Acer for 199.99 with free shipping (it went on sale yesterday) so i jumped on that instead for the extra .4 inch

The contrast ratio 1000:1 at that price on the Hanns G is probably as good as it gets. That HDMI port is nice to have and most monitors that size/price do not have an HDMI port.

The thing is, 1050 isn't exactly 1080 so im not sure how thats gonna work on your ps3 if you set it to 1080.

For the price and quality, I dont see anything better than the hann's G. To be honest, I kinda wish i would've bought the hann's G over the 22 inch acer (199.99) because the Acer only has a contrast ratio of 700:1 (pretty weak).

I might not open it and return it for Hann's G but if i do open it, i already bought an HDMI - DVI-D cable so i can hook up my xbox360 to the monitor for HD gaming.

idk if your PS3 comes with HDMI cables or not but be sure to pick some up at newegg.com while you're at it since they're MUCH CHEAPER than going to a store like bestbuy/circuit city.

Price is good for the size. Response time is okay, resolution is okay. Contrast ratio is a little low but all in all, looks like a good deal.
