They used a lot of profanity before that sort of thing was acceptable and they had a very hard driving sound and style for the time they were probably the leading edge of what became speed metal in later days.

I don't know that much about them, but I do know that they had a political bent. I'm a bigger fan of a band that was heavily influenced by them however- the Stooges.
