I was hoping for Andy Mc to get traded because this Ducks' team is NOT the Stanley Cup team of last year. Mc looked totally lost and there was no one to pass the puck on fast breaks. I hope he has great luck with Kariya now in St.L.

As for the Ducks, their record this year is atrocious. Like I said when BB signed Butt last June, he's trying to turn this team into the Biggest Goon Squad ever!!! Getz and Paris truly have great potential, but who else??? Anybody?? With the Ducks "supossedly" so "solid" on defense, why then is Giggy having such a hard time in goal??? I believe Scottie will make a bit of difference, but Selanne, LOVE THAT GUY!! (Btw, Teemu, please, please, please do NOT come back. You do NOT belong on "this" team anymore. Retire with dignity and respect!!

I still am a Ducks fan, but instead of the empty bottles of beer left over from a game, my floor is littered with Pepto Bismol, Rolaids, Immodium and Alka Seltzer wrappers.

As they are only two wins out of first place, I'll reserve judgement. As far as Brian Burke is concerned...........he's still a genius in a lot of people's eyes, including mine.

Burke leveraged Murray's work and the Samueli's ownership perfectly... and crafted a team which dominated the playoffs like no other team since the '98 Red Wings. Does that make him a genius? No, but he was instrumental in bringing the cup to Anaheim and that goes a long way.

As far as recent moves... I do agree with you. Getting NOTHING for Bryzgalov and OVERPAYING for Bertuzzi are both questionable moves, but sending McDonald to the Blues for Weight is a win-win move, and beats losing Schnieder.

I fully expect Anaheim to get on track before the end of the season. On paper, they are one of the best teams in the league. They've had deep playoff runs from the #6 and #7 spots, and are still in the mix for the Pacific title. Will they repeat? Probably not... but they should compete.

Burke is still on my $#!+ list for brokering the baby Ducks out of Cincinnati to his beloved Portland, so it wouldn't be very Christian of me to comment about anything that slithering slimeball motherf'er does - good or bad!

Double the fact I'm a life-long Blues fan, I REALLY hope the deal blows up in his face. LOL

I don't get to see my home team (Flyers) play as much as I would like and I see the Ducks even less. I might have seen them on the tube once this season so I am hardly qualified to answer about players or how they are doing.

But.....

Its quite a feat to repeat as champs in any sport, a fact that isn't widely appreciated unless you are a fan of the team.

I wouldn't start to put nails in their coffin. I just answered earlier that I don't put much stock in where a team is in the standings at this point in the season. I have also answered many times that what matters to me is how the team is playing starting at game #65 on to the end of the regular season.

The Ducks have time to get it together and they will have their good and bad streaks. It's the playoffs that matter.

Winning a Stanley Cup ought to buy a team at least a little more that half a season's worth of goodwill.

I never thought BB was a genius. I hope Andy tears it up w/PK on the Blues.

No one ever thought the guy was a genius, the guy is a moron. You would be the only one that thought that.
