I haven't been able to close the door in 3 1/2 years b/c once I had my daughter she always follows me in there.

No. You're right, there is no point at all. But we can sure do lots of nutty things by force of habit.
Sometimes when I sneeze, I automatically say "excuse me" and then realize nobody's around :O)))

Yes, I have a Bloodhound that just love to try and stick his nose in there to smell what I'm cooking!
