My sister and I are wondering how others deal with this? She has four kids, I have two. Do we spend the same amount of money on each kid individually, or the same amount total, spread evenly among each kid? ie spend $20 on each, so I would spend $80 on her kids, and she would spend $40, or spend $80 each total, so mine would get $40 gifts and hers would get $20 gifts. Thanks for any suggestions...

WoW ! This is a tough question.... Why not to make if fair have a $80 spending limit per family... That way you spend $80 on her kids and she spends $80 on yours....Or whatever amount you determine.. It can be more or it can be less... That way it's fair and resonable.. Good luck

The same amount is usually how we did it growing up. We even had all the kids draw names a few times, to spread it around a bit.

Forget money costs.
Buy good gifts regardless of their price.

I'd say the same ammount per family would be fair.
