No, sadly my mom was single and we were pretty poor most of the time. She was always working 2 or 3 jobs to make ends meet. As a result I - being the oldest child - was responsible for being the "mom" most of my childhood. That did it's damage in some ways ... BUT it helped in others.
Now ... because I had to make most of the meals for my brothers growing up ... I am the best cook ever! At least that's what I am told. So that in itself was somewhat worth it.
Of course, I did have the influence of my adorable Irish grandmother who was an excellent cook and baker. She taught me most of what I know and for that I am eternally grateful!

She can do some dishes to perfection but generally no she wasn't, she cooks very tradition meals which i don't particularly like.

OH YEAR SHE SURE WAS!! untill one night when i was 9yr's old i asked to cook tea for the family and i've been cooking it for the family ever since and NOW I'M THE BEST COOK EVER
