Apollo 1, is the official name given to the never-flown Apollo/Saturn 204 mission. Its command module was destroyed by fire during a test and training exercise on January 27, 1967

It's not trivia. All space enthusiasts know the mission was originally designated AS-204, later re-designated Apollo 1.

It was Apollo 1.

Did you know it only took 15 seconds from the first shout of, "Fire!" to the rupturing of the hull of the craft?

It was a horrible loss to the space program (and to the friends and families of those that died), and to the American people, as well...
