The Absolute is the totality of things. Why do we associate that with something finished, static? like absolute morals in religions? Even if one could know the absolute, why should that imply that one is finished or that one knows all, could the absloute not also mean that you realize that itself is in change?
So that there can never be any perfect understanding, never any end to reach.

Would that destroy the absolute?
or at least the absolute mentality that many religions especially embody.

I mean religions speak of the absolute, as something independent of the universe or "outside" of it. How can one have such an understanding and be sure that it is not an idea?

Sorry english is not my mother tounge?

An absolute can encompass a growth process.

Take the life cycle of a common bird. It is an egg, then it is a chick or hatchling, and finally becomes an adult bird. At all times during the process it is the specific breed of bird, and the Absolute of it being said breed includes it being at the stage it is found, those it will later become, and those it was and is not.

In other words, it is always a sparrow, it doesn't start being a sparrow when it flies away. The Absolute includes the totality of it, and if you really want to go deep, its "sparrowness" includes all of its progeny yet unborn.

No, the fact that most people don't find this worth thinking about enough to understand it doesn't mean that it isn't so, it merely means that they don't understand it this way. An Absolute is unaffected by the observer's comprehension, it just Is or Is Not.

I do not believe that an absolute has to reside outside of the Universe. I don't actually think anything can, by definition. The Universe is "everything", and if one believes there to be something outside of it, that merely evidences an overly narrow view of the Universe.

Take the idea of ghosts. Many don't believe in them, some do, I personally have no opinion since I've never seen one, yet many claim to have. However, they are NOT "supernatural", because if they do exist, they are obviously quite natural, and part of Nature and the Universe. My personal lack of understanding doesn't make them "supernatural" any more than my lack of understanding of an internal combustion engine means cars are magical.

I think you might want to look into Taoism. It teaches one to accept things as they are, without requiring one to be able to fully explain them, or conclude that there are mystical forces at work.

One common symbol found in Taoism is a hand-drawn circle, that is anything but perfect. This symbolises the Tao, or everything that Is, but the imperfection implies that it changes, and is therefore not the same at all times.

.All knowledge is begins when humanity ask the question Who am I ? humanity become an object for itself. So we define ourselves in impersonal or objective forms or historical processes. The Absolute is a Dream and structures that retains the totality of Who am I and objectification dynamics throughout history. Lets say for example in Hegel, and Kant the query of Who am I by the Subject and activity of objectification are repeated via the dialectic until history is unfolded.

In Hegel the Absolute provides a context for all conceptual activity. Philosopher Stanley Rosen in his book The Limits of Analysis ask this question; "How do I come to be conscious of myself ,or recognize that it is I whom I am conscious, unless I already know myself in advance of attaining self-consciousness?"

.In other we are presented with a choice either we can believe in the preexistence of pure thought as totality, the Whole that is both the end and the beginning of the Conceptualization of the World. The other choice is to consider consciousness as a category a perception precondition of conceptualization. in which case the dream of the Absolute is not necessary.

As Gee and others have said your English is very good.

Absolutes, like absolute truth, to me are similar in nature to the highest ideal standards. Man cannot do anything with their mind or actions to change them at all.

Therefore I think what we perceive to be a limit or boundary or "finished state" is change. But the change is only in our perception and understanding of what it is that we are exploring with our intellect and reason. For man's wisdom itself is finite and limited only to what we have collectively gained in knowledge throughout history. But we have discovered the existence of absolute ideals. And it is because we acknowledge their existence both individually and societal that we maintain a moral balance in our humanity.

The religious expression of these absolute ideals made them a living breathing entity, for ancient man, as well as for people today.
