Everyone is right, but I will explain why the answer is 5. You want to get x by itself, so in order to do that you have to get rid of 3, multiplication and division are opposites. The 3x that is on the equation means that the 3 and the x are multiplied together, so you have to divide 3 from the x, but you also have to do it from the 15 side. What you do to one side you always have to do to the other. When you divide 15 and 3 you get 5!
