Yes, you should definitely continue being friends with her if you like her. Dropping her as a friend would in fact probably make things worse.

She trusts you enough to let you see that she cuts herself. That's a lot of trust, and it means that she wants your help. What I would do is listen if or when she talks to you about her problems.

You should also talk to her about getting professional help--because, even though you're her friend, being her sole support system is way more than you should have to be responsible for. It's a great burden, and you're not trained to counsel her.

All you can do is be her friend, and that won't help her find ways to deal with the problems she has. Being her friend only allows her to vent to a safe person; it doesn't solve the problems.

I wish you and your friend the best through all this. I hope she does decide to tell her parents or someone and get help.

If your a true friend you'll help her. She needs mental help and medication. So talk to her and see how she can been seen by a therapist or doctor something anything be for she does something stupid. Tell her parents , family member anyone u think can help. The reason she cuts herself is to feel anything. She's numb. That's her way of feeling . If not treated it will get worse. I new someone like that to. They got the help they needed and are better now.

why wouldn't you hang out with her? if you are concerned because she cuts herself, suggest she get some help. there's usually an underlying reason for feeling the need to cut. if she's not comfortable talking to her parents about the situation, see if there's another adult she feels she can confide in. be there for your friend. she needs people around her that she trusts and feels comfortable with.

Why does she cut herself? It is usually for attention, and if she has you and is still doing it, I would wonder what her problem is. I read an article that said alot of cutters are being sexually abused. Is that possible for your friend? Talk to her. See if you can get some help for her at school.

Okay if she cuts her-self don't just stop hanging out with her. But she does need help. talk to her. I think if u leave her now she'll try to hurt her-self even more. Ask her why she does this and if she does not want to talk about leave it alone.

If she is your best friend, you would seek immediate help for her instead of worrying if you should hang out with her or not. If she does this, something is not right, could be emotional trauma or a disproportion in neural transmitters. you need to get help for her because something like this can lead to deep depression and God forbid, suicide.

u need to be there for her. The last thing you should do is leave her. The reason she cuts herself is becasue she just needs someone so leaving her would be the worst thing to do. She needs to see a doc or at elast let her parents know eventually if u alone can't get he to stop.
