I remember crying tears of joy when I found out for sure that my daughter didn't have a blood disorder. I had taken a sample of her blood just to check her CBC at work and when I looked through the microscope, I almost hit the ground. Her platelet count was through the roof. I had to walk out of the lab and lean against the wall. I was terrified! After I got myself together, I consulted with a hematologist/oncologist and he did a more extensive follow up and she was fine. We have yet to figure out the cause of her thrombocythemia. But, thank God, it wasn't a malignancy.

When I drove to Ft Hood, TX to wait for the arrival of my son from Iraq. They had a large bus in front of them, the bus moved forward to reveal all the young soldiers there with their gear. I was so relieved and happy that he made it back safe and sound, I just cried.................Thank you Lord.

I've never been so happy that I cried. I've been happy enough to bounce around and go absolutely bannanas about nothing, but never cried because some jacks would be asking me "What's wrong?" and you would tell them and they would say that your weird or something.

Last Christmas when my grandson, who is left handed and has real difficulties with writing, sent me a calendar that he had coloured in on every page and numered all the dates. It must have taken him hours and I was so proud of him.
